Besides being a paradise for walking and bird-watching the Isle of Mull is also recognised as an important centre for whale and dolphin-watching. Boat trips visit the isles of Iona, Staffa, Treshnish, Coll, Muck, Eigg and Rum which collectively embrace hundreds of miles of Special Scientific Interest coast-line and provide breeding habitats for hundreds of thousands of sea-birds.
Plentiful accommodation is available to suit all tastes and pockets, and is best sourced through the Mull Tourist Office.
Caledonian MacBrayne will advise on the most suitable form of ticket and "Island Hopper" packages for those who might want to include other islands in their holiday plans.
As a final and polite reminder, Quinish Gardens are not normally open to the public, but if you would like to visit the walled garden and policies, a prior telephone appointment would be appreciated, thus avoiding possible disappointment. |
